does Global College Pipeline do for students?
GCP
participants receive:
- Academic preparation for the ACT and other proficiency
exams
- Between 16 and 18 college credits that can be applied
toward an undergraduate degree
- Opportunities to study and work in a foreign country
- Exposure to campus life through summer residential
programs
- Guidance in selecting a college, academic major, and
career pathway
- Guaranteed acceptance to a GCP partner college or
university
Is This Program Open to
Every Student?
GCP is a highly selective opportunity designed for students
who demonstrate strong potential, character, and commitment. Selection
criteria include attendance and disciplinary records, GPA, proficiency
test scores, personal interviews, and character references from academic
personnel.
Once
selected, how does a student remain eligible?
To
remain in good standing, GCP participants are expected to:
- Maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Maintain an attendance record of 90% or higher for
both in-school and out-of-school components. Students may not miss more
than five days per semester
- Enroll in a foreign language course for at least three
academic years
- Participate fully in the Global Perspectives course
- Maintain a clean disciplinary record in school and
in the community
- Participate in all summer college-based components
