The Global College Pipeline Initiative (GCP) was created as an innovative academic and cultural education program in direct response to the needs of today’s low-income minority students and the institutions that best serve them. GCP is designed to both develop critical academic skills and increase overall college readiness in students from low-performing schools through a comprehensive program that consists of intensive supplemental education in key areas: college acclimatization, academic remediation, financial literacy, social and emotional learning, and cultural immersion. These promising students are guaranteed admission into a GCP partner university that is best equipped to meet their needs.

It is our goal that these graduates then return to their communities prepared to start their own businesses, enter high-impact professions, and become part of the national and global leadership that is focused on both personal and community/systemic solutions to ending poverty.

Ultimately, our goal is that GCP will operate throughout high-poverty communities across the United States. By replicating the initiative in communities such as New Orleans, LA, Jackson, MS, Birmingham, AL, Detroit, MI, and Baltimore, MD, and scaling the program over the next 5–10 years, GCP will have a graduating class of participants who will be ready to share their experiences and to work closely with and support the duplication of the program at new operating sites. Moreover, as GCP builds its capacity, we can recruit additional participants, partner universities or organizations, and specialized global educational experiences to increase the effectiveness of our programming.

Our current goal is to raise a minimum of $740,000 by September 1st, 2021, for the preparation and operational cost relating to the 2021- 2022 academic school year. However, any donation will be greatly appreciated. We also have different levels of sponsorship, such as:

  • Level I – $25,000.00 (which will sponsor one student, all expenses paid, for the next five years)
  • Level II – $15,000.00 (which will sponsor three students for one year)
  • Level III – $10,000.00 (which will sponsor two students for one year)
  • Level IV – $5,000.00 (which will sponsor one student for one year)

We know that you work hard for your money; therefore, at GCP, 90% of your annual donations go directly to programming for our youth.
